Police have completed their investigation at Hopewell Valley Central High School, and we are preparing to dismiss students from the high school and Timberlane Middle School. No threat was found, and all students and staff are safe.
Police have instructed us to transport students home by bus out of an abundance of caution and to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal, as well as the safety of our staff and students.
Students who drove to school can drive themselves home, then we will release the walkers. All other students will be transported home by bus. Delays may exist due to the simultaneous need for elementary bus transportation. The Police Chief has directed us that parents should not come to school to pick up their students.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we took steps to ensure student and staff safety this afternoon. Additional information regarding the investigation will be shared later this evening.
