CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the development and implementation of curriculum aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. It oversees the work of the district's subject area supervisors who lead regular curriculum review, provide support to teaching staff and explore leading-edge professional development and student learning opportunities outside the classroom. It coordinates the administration of student testing, collects and analyzes data on student achievement and prepares state-mandated reports related to student performance. It is responsible for the preparation and submission of state and federal grant applications. The office coordinates professional development activities for staff and administers a mentoring program for teachers both new to Hopewell Valley and new to the profession.

The Curriculum and Instruction office is open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (closed 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm).

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction continues its collaborative work with our Board of Education and the community to bring rigorous academic and social-emotional development programming to our students. Annually, we review and report our progress to the public.
