MATH CURRICULUM

ELEMENTARY MATH

The mathematics program for our elementary students strives to create a learning environment that fosters curiosity and develops creativity. Our teachers support children as they master basic numerical facts, apply mathematics concepts in real and relevant contexts and express themselves as mathematicians. Children experiment, explore, and manipulate physical objects in an effort to understand mathematical concepts. The program provides mathematical experiences that enable children to apply problem-solving skills successfully in everyday situations. It is the understanding of mathematical concepts that leads to success in our students’ future study of mathematics. The K-5 mathematics program utilizes the enVision Mathematics resources for all classes, Basic Skills Instruction (BSIP) and grade level mathematics classes.
