On May 4th HVRSD will celebrate a student Wellness Day in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. We want our students to learn the importance of taking care of their mental health by providing opportunities to practice mindfulness, physical activities, music, art, and positive stress relief.
Each school will celebrate in its own unique way, but some common themes include nature walks, time with therapy dogs, mindfulness, buddy activities, and alumni from secondary schools visiting their alma maters. We are so excited to promote well-being during the month of May! Special thank you to our principals, SEL District Committee, Dr. Treece, and our board members for supporting this special day!
