Hopewell Valley Regional School District Logo

Dear HVRSD Community,

In anticipation of a possible snowstorm tomorrow, I wanted to remind parents/guardians about our E-Learning days procedures. As per our past practices, the first two emergency closing days (days 181 & 182) will be E-Learning days.  Transitioning to an E-Learning day allows us to count the day as an instructional day, so no days will be added to the calendar and the last day of school will remain June 22. If we have a weather-related school closure, students will log onto OnCourse and complete assignments that their teachers have posted for them on the E-Learning Day. Students should be able to complete these assignments independently and all assignments will be graded by the teachers upon our return. As some teachers and students may lose internet services or power during bad weather, students do not log into live Zooms and will be given 2 additional days to submit assignments as needed.

There is a very real possibility that I will be reaching out regarding a delayed opening or school closure by this afternoon or early evening. We will send out alerts no later than 6 pm. Thank you for your attention and stay safe.
