Many of our students in grades 3-5 have created projects around Global Climate Issues to present at our Green Week Student Expo on Wednesday, April 24th in the gym. Students in grades K-5 will visit the expo during school hours to learn more about these Global Climate Issues. Parents are invited to visit the expo from 3:00-3:30 PM. Renowned author Roxie Munro is coming to Toll Gate on March 5th! The Toll Gate PTO, in partnership with the HVEF, is proud to offer students the opportunity to purchase copies of her works, which will be SIGNED during her visit. Our third annual Toll Gate Green Week Student Expo will be held during Hopewell Valley Green Week on Wednesday, April 24th. We are so excited to unveil the new Toll Gate Grammar School rain garden! It was made with a lot of love, sweat, and elbow grease of volunteers and Watershed Institute staff. The native plants will need consistent watering this spring/summer to make sure they have the best conditions to establish and thrive. Sprinklers will be available for you to use and we ask that you water 2 times per week for at least 15-20 min, move the sprinkler if needed to areas that did not get watered. Contingencies on watering: If there has been a 1” rain fall that week – you only need to water once (15-20 min). If it has rained 2 times or more that week – you do not need to water.
