PEECH Preschool Applications Now Being Accepted

PEECH, the Hopewell Valley Regional School District’s integrated Preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds, is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Applications must be received by February 21, 2020 to be considered for the lottery to be held the last week of February. Any applications received after that date and all applications not selected in the lottery will be kept as a waiting list for future openings.

TGG and SBES Achieve Sustainability Certification

108 New Jersey schools added to 2019 certified schools list released by Sustainable Jersey for Schools.

Pennington, NJ – Toll Gate Grammar School and Stony Brook Elementary school in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District have met the rigorous requirements to achieve Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification. These schools form part of a group of 108 schools that achieved the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification in 2019.

Community Access to the Screening of "Angst"

Dear Hopewell Valley Families: We recognize that some of our families were unable to attend the community screening of “Angst” last Tuesday and are interested in seeing the film. In response, we have partnered with IndieFlix to make the film, a discussion guide, tip sheet, and access to the filmmakers available only to members of our school district for a limited time - Tuesday, October 22 - October 28 (expiring at midnight). You will be able to watch as a Private-Pay-Per-View (PPPV) for a fee of $25. This access is strictly reserved for HVRSD families and 8% ($2) from every PPPV goes back to HVRSD.

HVRSD Later Start Time Committee and Survey

An increasing body of research shows that adolescents can benefit from additional sleep. Much of this research raises concerns with middle and high school that start prior to 8:20 am. At 7:45 am, our middle and high school start later than many; however, we feel it is prudent to investigate a potential benefits of a schedule change.

Hopewell Elementary School New Outdoor Reflection & Learning Space - Thanks to FoHVOS!

In a project designed to provide Hopewell Elementary students with additional ecological learning opportunities and tie into existing conservation efforts in both Hopewell Boro and the school district, Hopewell Elementary School is planning an outdoor reflection and learning areas and will be converting some of its existing lawn to a native wildflower meadow. Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (FoHVOS) will provide land stewardship guidance and has begun soliciting funds.  Click Title to Read More
