HVRSD Adopts Required Lunch Payment Policy

 For those students who chronically carry negative balances and do not qualify for assistance, extra care is taken to contact the parent and/or meet confidentially with the student and his/her parents to provide any supports available. Only in cases where parents do not respond to all communication attempts by the district including paper mail, email, or phone inquiries to resolve the outstanding balances in over 18 days and owes more than $100, will the district limit participation. Even then, student participation is only limited until the parent contacts the school to discuss the situation. Once the parent or guardian contacts the district and communicates with an administrator, the student will be reinstated immediately.
