Dear Hopewell Valley Families,
Last night the Board of Education approved two E-Learning days that will take place instead of opening schools on April 5 and 6. I realize that the timing of this change is a challenge for some district families, but I think these days will provide us an excellent opportunity to put our work on blended learning into practice.
Our staff is working hard to create meaningful and relevant online lessons for our students. Many assignments will be available as early as today and definitely by Thursday afternoon. I have included the FAQ’s below for your reference.
After the break, a survey will be distributed to parents and students to provide us feedback on the E-Learning Days. We will also debrief with staff members from each building to discuss what worked and where we can make improvements.
Thank you very much for your patience and flexibility as we try something few districts have ever tried to accomplish. Enjoy your break.
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Smith, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
