Kindergarten registration packets for the 2009-10 school year will be available beginning Monday, January 12 and ending April 1 for parents of children anticipating entering kindergarten in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District next fall. (Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2009.)

Packets may be picked up in person from the Curriculum and Instruction Office, 2nd Floor, Administration Building, 425 South Main Street, Pennington, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To pick up a packet, proof of residency and the official original birth certificate with a raised seal (or a copy with a raised seal) must be shown. The following documents are acceptable as proof of residency: deed; lease showing signatures of both parties (dated for current school year); sales contract showing signatures of both parties, street address and stating approximate date of settlement. We will also accept the current tax bill with valid NJ driver’s license.

The packets contain registration forms and information regarding the on-site visits to complete the registration process. The visits will be at the four elementary schools: Bear Tavern on March 23 to March 26; at Toll Gate Grammar on March 30 to April 1; at Hopewell Elementary on April 20 to April 23, and at Stony Brook Elementary from March 30 to April 2.

Appointments must be made for the school visits when picking up registration packets and will be given on a first come, first served basis.
