Hopewell Township and Pennington residents interested in running for one of three seats available on the Board of Education this year have until March 2, 2009 to file their application. Interested candidates must be registered voters, at least 18 years of age, be able to read and write and residents of Hopewell Township for at least one year. Applicants must also submit signatures from 10 township residents supporting their candidacy.

All seats carry a 3-year term.

Applications may be picked up from Bob Colavita, board secretary, at the district administration building, 425 S. Main Street, Pennington. They are due no later than 4 p.m. on Feb. 25.

Election day is April 21.
