The Symphonic Band, directed by Mr. Gary Suabedissen, performs “Welcome Yule”, arranged by Robert Leist. Video by Eric Palin (special effects generator), Nathan Papperman (character generator), Brian Nowicki (audio), cameras by Shannon Rendek, Kelsey Johnson, Erin Henry, and Avanti Suresh.
The Chamber Singers, directed by Mr. Ken Elpus, perform “Estampie Natalis” by Vaclav Nehlybel, with Emily Pan (1st violin), Aubrey Holmes (2nd violin), Han Wei Kantzer (cello), Ms. Karrin Phillips (flute), Ms. Georgette Rogers and Ms. Rebecca Elpus (percussion). Video by Ethan Gordon (special effects generator), Nathan Papperman (character generator), Andrew David (audio), cameras by Nick Kilstein, Aaron Edwards, Eric Palin, and Sloan Palder, Brian Nowicki (Grip).
Fall Cheerleaders Alicia Hill, Sophie D’Angelo, Sam Baker, Rebecca Galle, Lauren Conosa, Amanda Canavera, Terri Mohacsi, Albee Rogers, Chelsea Turner, Michelle Fecompre, Krysta Hujber and Jana Radice perform in the TV studio. The studio was still under construction so radio signals were picked up by the microphones. Produced by Television Production students Jay Henderek, Wes Purvis, Catan Gray, Will Fabrizio, Dylan Catherina, Jeff Brozena and Mike Stellino.
First level Television Production students Evan Lang, Sasha Murr and Eva Truyen host a short look at the Welcome Barbecue for the Spanish Exchange Students and the National Honor Society Induction ceremony. This video was directed by Noah Wasserman, with switching by Bill Brown, Chyron by Michelle Snoeckx, audio by Chris Pribilski, teleprompter by Mike Tsarouhas, video play back by Tim Hone, and cameras by Tom Marquardt.
Kate Kolombatovich interviewed Hopewell Valley junior Eileen Carroll about her participation in student council. Eileen explains why she became a part of student council and describes her role as the representative to the school board. The interview was filmed by sophomore Monica Shapiro.
Josh Mendelsohn interviewed Belgian student Michele Snoeckx about her experience in Hopewell Valley after being here for only a couple of months.

First level Television Production students Bill Brown, Tim Hone and Noah Wasserman host a short look at the JV Football team’s game vs. Hightstown and the Homecoming parade.  This video was directed by Evan Lang, with switching by Sasha Murr, Chyron by Chris Pribilski, audio by Sammy Kochis, teleprompter by Eva Truyen, video play back by Michelle Snoeckx, and cameras by Mario Russo and Mike Tsarouhas.

 

Alex Basile made a montage of many short clips of high school musicians, all of which change to the queue of music that he synthesized on a computer.

Con Brio, the student directed a cappella group, sings George Michael’s “Faith”.  Members of the group are Sara Lewis, Julia Firestone, Alyssa Stein, Greg Stolowski, Tom Patrino, Dan Lownie, Jen Reinhardt, Blair O’Leary, Dan McGruther, Billy Emhof, Katie Painter, Megan Templon, Jared Kaminski, Izzy Houston, and Charlotte Bhaskar.

Fourth Year Television student Michael Stellino interviewed Mr. Seltzer, one of the English teachers at Hopewell Valley Central High School, about his summer visit to Italy. Filming by Mr. Flegeal.

Second level TV Production student Kyle Walsh videotaped Elizabeth Mamer interviewing the Vice President of the Class of 2007, Kait Gregory, about school activities, hobbies and her visits to foreign countries.

Kyle Walsh interviewed HoVal German teacher Mrs. Lilly about teaching the German language and her experiences living in Germany.

Vierundzwanzig Schüler haben im Oktober auf einem Sprachausflug versucht, nur auf Deutsch zu sprechen. Oona Urbanski, Blythe Pinto, Sara Miovic, Kelsey Johnson, Frau Lilly und Herr Flegeal haben den Film gedreht und Herr Flegeal hat den Film geschnitten.

Monica Shapiro interviewed Sophomore Sarah Krauss about her involvement in musical and dramatic arts. Sarah has seen 14 Broadway shows and musicals and helped to start a singing group with which she will be traveling to Ireland this summer.

TV2 student Robert Snyder interviewed physical education teacher Mr. Dekok about teaching driver’s education and physical education, and coaching track.

TV 2 Student Andrew Seems interviewed sophomore Matthew Fishman about his experiences pole vaulting for Hopewell and other activities he participates in.

AJ Riggs Schonhaut of TV3 shot and edited a montage of Fall Varsity Sports (Cross Country video by Maggie Griffiths). The music featured here is a “Cool Edit” cover demo recorded by Ant Napolean (guitar/bass) and AJ Riggs (drums/turntable).

2nd level Television Production student Dan Vukcevich interviewed Gina Warren, secretary of the class of 2008, about her experience as a class officer. Gina also talked about schoolwork and field hockey.  This was videotaped by 2nd level TV student Ryan Martin.

Alex Basile made an intense document drama on the legendary unclassifiable “Steven-Rock” group “The Shockas.”  It features interviews with band members Steven Sandler, David Hallinger, and Roger Tower, and devoted fans Kevin Osagi and Nick Strong. Also featuring an original score by the Shockas.

4th level Television Production student Catan Gray taped The Wind Ensemble performing at the monthly senior citizens luncheon.

3rd Level Television Production student Wes Purvis (class of ’06) videotaped and edited a montage of JV football and Freshmen Field Hockey

Third Year Television Student, Jay Henderek interviewed Mrs. Riloff, one of the history teachers at Hopewell Valley Central High School, about her new Holocaust and Genocide Studies Class. Filming the interview was third year television student, Dylan Catherina.

Jay Amato, a third level television production student, taped and edited the Varsity Field Hockey team beating the West-Windsor Plainsboro South Pirates. 

Alex Basile interviewed a variety of people around the school about their opinions on boxing large gorillas for even larger sums of money. Here’s what he came up with.  Music by the Labrats.

Fourth level Television Production student Michael Stellino edited video of the 2005 Girls Varsity Soccer team vs. Hightstown. This was taped by Michael and Third Level Television Production student Wes Purvis

Third level television student, Will Fabrizio, taped the Freshman Field Hockey team playing Hightstown this past fall. Hopewell came up on top, defeating Hightstown. This video was edited using Pinnacle Studio.

 

3rd Level Television Production student Jay Amato (class of ’07) interviewed new Performing Arts teacher Ms. Hatch about the fall play she is directing, "Arsenic and Old Lace."
