Matt Fishman, Billy Emhoff, Andrew Seems, John Hallinger and Rob Snyder are all part of the Latin Funk Fusion band The Matadors, which performed this song featuring interpretive dance at the Battle of the Bands. The Battle of the Bands video was directed by Alex Basile with technical director Mike Stellino, camera work by Evan Lang, Brian Nowicki, Sloan Palder, Erin Henry, Meghann Jones, and Josh Mendelsohn. Bill Brown and Alex Seiz did the audio for the show.

First level Television Production students Mike Tsarouhas and Eric Hess tell us about the October 18th Varsity Boys Soccer game vs Allentown  and the November 7th National Honor Society Induction Ceremony.  This production was directed by Tim Hone, switching by Mario Russo, Chyron by Noah Wasserman, audio by Bill Brown, teleprompter by Ian Grimley, cameras and engineering by Chris Pribilski, video server by Evan Lang.

2nd level Television Production student Dan Vukcevich videotaped and edited a “Danceoff” between Steven Dvorak and Kenneth Stella. The editing and filming job was amazing, and was by Dan Vukcevich. Dan Vukcevich is amazing at filming and editing, and everything else.
Are you excited for the Battle of the Bands? Who’s going to win? Which band will rise the most? These were some of the questions that Alex Basile asked students in this video shown at the beginning of the Battle of the Bands.
Mark deGuzman, on piano, and Aubrey Holmes, on violin, performed the piece Liebesledlied by Fritz Kreisler in the TV studio. Both are part of the HVCHS chamber orchestra, and were taped by the seventh period TV3 class: AJ Riggs, Mike Stellino, and Alex Basile.

Han-wei Kantzer performed Bach’s Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 3: Prelude in the TV studio and was taped by third and fourth level TV students Alex Basile and Mike Stellino.

Fourth level TV Production student Neal Ronaghan created and hosted his very own game show. Former TV Production student Jeff Brozena directed the show while Wes Purvis manned the switcher and other members of the Period 1 TV 3 Class helped out.

Third level Television Production students Michael Stellino, AJ Riggs and Alex Basile put together a short news segment about happenings around the school including music from the jazz festival, Mrs. Carbone's nursery school and some great kids in the Kids for Kids club! Many long, hard seconds were spent rhyming words at the end of the show.
Third level Television student Wes Purvis directed a studio taping of the Deca Quiz Bowl, a Jeopardy style event. Video production by Neal Ronaghan (Chyron), Catan Gray (Audio), Wes Purvis (Special Effects Generator), cameras by Jay Amato, Jay Henderek, Alex Seiz.
Fourth level television production student Catan Gray directed a studio taping of Dan Reeves, Dan Hagen, and Jonnie Reeves playing piano, guitar, and drums. This clip is one song that they covered during the set, called Limb by Limb.

First level Television Production students Avanti Suresh and Sean Geraghty host a look at the Varsity Girls Soccer game vs. Lawrenceville, the JV Football game vs. Hamilton West and the German class overnight trip.  This video was directed by Katie Hilliard, with switching by Shannon Rendek, Chyron by Erin Henry, audio by Kelsey Johnson, teleprompter by Carl Sorg, video play back by Keven Gungor, engineering and cameras by Nick Tan.

First level Television Production students Michelle Snoeckx and Eva Truyen tell us in Flemish about the Freshman field Hockey game vs Moorestown and the Jazz Café.  This production was directed by Sammy Kochis, special effects by Komi Khan, Chyron by Sasha Murr, audio by Naomi Ljutich, teleprompter and assistant directing by Tom Marquardt, cameras and engineering by Meghann Jones, teleprompter by Andrew Womack.

 

Fourth level Television Production student Neal Ronaghan interviewed Chrissy Morten, author of a recent Bulldog Newspaper article, about student use of Spark Notes to enhance their learning, or to avoid reading. Principal Mangiaracina and English teachers Mr. Roebuck and Mr. Porter also give their thoughts.

Barbara Carver Johnson of the HoVal class of 1967, and recepient of the 2006 Distinguished Graduate Award, talks about the Harbourton 2 room school house she attended, her time at HoVal and being named the 2004 Wisconsin teacher of the year.

First level Television Production students Nick Kilstein and Eric Palin host a look at the Shockas performance at the Katrina Benefit concert, the Fall Recital, and the Varsity Football game vs. Hightstown on Nov. 19th. This video was directed by Sloan Palder, technical direction by Andrew David, Chyron by Brian Nowicki, audio by Nate Papperman, teleprompter, engineering, assistant directing and cameras by Ethan Gordon, and video play back by Aaron Edwards.

TV 3 student Dylan Catherina made this documentary on Mr. Estelow and the Auto Shop.  Mr. Estelow graduated from the high school and has been teaching here for 40 years.  He talks about the auto shop today, his experiences from when he first started and his hopes for the program after he retires soon.

Fourth year Television Student Michael Stellino taped and edited a short look at Mrs. Carbone’s new Pacific Rim class. The class learns to cook dishes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Bali, and many more nations.

First level Television Production student Mario Russo polled an assortment of high school students about their favorite color, number, and animal.  He received a variety of interesting responses to this seemingly simple set of questions, including one student who claims his favorite color is Thursday.  Camera work by Evan Lang.

The Chamber Singers, directed by Mr. Ken Elpus, perform “Estampie Natalis” by Vaclav Nehlybel, with Emily Pan (1st violin), Aubrey Holmes (2nd violin), Han Wei Kantzer (cello), Ms. Karrin Phillips (flute), Ms. Georgette Rogers and Ms. Rebecca Elpus (percussion).
