TV3 student, Meghann Jones (’09) hosts this morning show, which aired on June 10th, and  featured Ms. McGrath’s World Arts class. Ms. McGrath recently received a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and decided to host a talk show with her World Arts students. They talk about different works of art from various countries.

On the May 30th homeroom show Katie Hilliard interviewed Tom Seabrook and Noah Simon about the Advanced Scene Study and Directing class show that night. Also shown is some video of the class’ rehearsal, and Tom advising the students to make good choices.

 

 

On the May 29th morning show Ian Grimley talks about the Teens Against Tobacco Use program. Also, Max Orland and Matt Fishman talk about an upcoming concert to raise awareness for the genocide taking place in Darfur.

On May 7th, Noah Wasserman hosts this morning show about the upcoming play Much Ado About Nothing. Also, we take a look at some upcoming student council events.

After winter break, TV3 Student Meghann Jones (’09) made this documentary style taping about Hopewell’s new nurse, Ms. Vaccaro. Katie Hilliard (’08) helped with camera, and Komi Kahn (’09) and Kevin Boyle (’08) acted.

 

 

This morning show, which aired on April 24th, featured Kelsey Bruno (’09) and Danielle DeSando (’09) talking about the Gay Straight Alliance’s Day of Silence  on April 26th.  There is also an interesting comment from Mr. Seltzer, English teacher, and Hopewell’s 2008 high school Teacher of the Year.

On April 11, 2008 Fatima Jaferi interviewed Sloan Palder, Nathan Papperman, and Carl Sorg about competing in the state competition for Conqueror of the Hill. The footage was filmed and edited by Komi Khan

On the April 3rd morning show TV3 student Ian Grimley and Yes Club secretary Rosie Rarich talk to members of the bands about what we could expect at the 2008 Battle of the Bands.

This winter the TV3 class produced a Spelling Bee.  Participants included Evan Lang, Alex Gurak, Matt Fishman, David Primer, and Andrew Atwal.  The Bee was hosted by Ethan Gordon and directed by Noah Wasserman

On the March 12th homeroom show Ian Grimley talks to wrestlers George Saliba and AJ Gibbons.  George is the first Hopewell Valley wrestler to ever make it to the state tournament.  Practice video by TV 1 student Garrett Safir

The Febuary 29th morning show hosted by Sloan Palder and Erik HessRob Meyer and 

Sarah Krauss talk about the upcoming musical, The Sound of Music. The show ends with a

farewell to math teacher, Mrs. Husami.  Produced by the third level television production

class.

Noah Wasserman host the February 27th homeroom show on the day before the FIRST robotics team went to it's first competition of the season at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton.  Lauren Nowicki talks about the team.  Robot construction video by Noah.  Evan Lang gives us a preview of Black and Gold Night

On February 8, 2008 Katie Hilliard and Tom Seabrook hosted the morning show with a preview of the upcoming senior prom fashion show.  Katie also interviewed Jackie Meyer, a Key Club officer, about the coat drive hosted every year by the club for Woman  Space.

 

 

On the February 5th homeroom show Evan Lang introduced the Republican party candidates for the primary election on Super Tuesday. Peter Von Jaglinski speaks for John McCain, Jordan Rowan speaks for Mike Huckabee, and Dan Hageman speaks for Mitt Romney

 

 

On the February 4th homeroom show Evan Lang introduced the Democratic party candidates for the primary election on Super Tuesday. Sarah Hirsh speaks for Hillary Clinton, and Max Van Zandt speaks for Barrack Obama.

 

 

Composer, conductor, and workshop leader Stephen Hatfield made his second trip to Hopewell Valley this year. Mr. Hatfield conducted the high school choirs in a concert of his musical pieces. The choirs were also recorded at the College of New Jersey. On the Jan. 8th homeroom show Evan Lang gave us an inside look at the ice hockey team and assistant coach Mr. Schneider gave us an idea of how the season went.

 

 

On the December 17th homeroom show Catie Lauricella and Jennifer Pfaff act out a skit as an advertisement for the German class’ gingerbread house competition. Then, Rosie Rarich and Allison Lee tell us about Model World Health Organization’s newest project. 

 

 

Ian Grimley edited this look at the 2007 fall sports season. The video was taped by students in the first and third level television production class. Special thanks to the interviewees, Ali Newman, Steve Dvorak, Garrison Evans, Lena Klett and Chris Baumbach.

 

 

On the December 12th morning show, Sloan Palder introduces the High School orchestra as they play Haydn Piano Concerto in D with Jenifer Liu on the piano.

 

 

Katie Hilliard and Meghann Jones produced this look at the martial arts club for the December 7th homeroom show, followed by Ethan Gordon’s ad for the upcoming unofficial High school spelling bee.

The November 28th morning show, hosted by National Honor Society president Anna Weingart and advisor Mrs. Bonnell. They tell us about the up coming National Honor Society Induction and what is required to get inducted into NHS. Katie Hilliard hosts the November 15th homeroom show.  In this scene from The Madwoman of Chaillot featuring Kaitlin Stein, Michelle Seabrook, Lilly Martin, and Katy White, the ragpicker, played by Sean Geraghty, takes the part of the defendants, all the evildoers of the world.

 

 

Chris Pribilski introduces the November 14th homeroom show, another scene from The Madwoman of Chaillot. This clip features Katy White, Kaitlyn Stein, Michele Seabrook, and Lily Martin.

 

 

Kevin Boyle introduces the November 13th homeroom show.  The Madwoman meets with her friends in her cellar.  Katy White plays the Mad Woman, Madame Constance and Madamoiselle Gabrielle are played by Katelyn Stein and Michelle Seabrook

 

 

The November 12th homeroom show.  Komi Khan introduces a scene from the fall  play that takes place at the café where we meet the Countess Aurelia (played by Katy White) the Madwoman of Chaillot, for the first time, as she tries to save the life of Pierre (played by Sam La Posta)

 

The November 7th homeroom show with Ian Grimley introducing an excerpt from the fall play, “The Madwoman of Chaillot”.   The scene takes place on the terrace of The Café Chez Francis, where businessmen, played by Boris Van Der Ree, Tom Seabrook, Josh Max; and Ben Canuteson, are plotting to destroy Paris.

 

 Katie Hilliard hosted this October 31st homeroom show.  Students talk about plans for Halloween, and we look at the girl’s varsity soccer team, taped by Meghann Jones.

 

 

The October 26th morning show. Hosts Chris Pribilski and Kevin Boyle preview the last varsity football game of the season and a varsity field hockey state tournament game, with video of earlier games. Produced by students in the Third Level Television Production class.

 

Model WHO club president Kathleen Reside hosts the October 24th homeroom show to tell the school about the club’s presentation that evening and  about National Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Even Lang, president of the junior class, produced this video about the Hopewell Valley Marching Band in their first year of existence.

Ethan Gordon Interviewed Mr. Guise, a science teacher, about his trip this summer to Isle Royale National Park, where he studied wolves and moose.

On the October 4th homeroom show Katie Hilliard interviewed the new vice principal, Mr. Davis.

 

Albee Rogers and Anura Deshmukh host this preview of Hopewell’s 2007 homecoming celebration.  The show was produced by the period 2, TV 3 class, featuring direction by Noah Wasserman, technical direction by Ethan Gordon, audio by Sloan Palder, video server operation by Ian Grimley, teleprompter by Komi Khan, cameras by Meghann Jones, and an introduction by Katie Hillard.  

Television Production students were the audience for a live broadcast of "The 10 Show" at NBC 10 studios in Philadelphia on September 27th.  Monica Shapiro introduces the show.
 

Katie Hilliard and Ethan Gordon host the September 14th  homeroom show about the Welcome Back Dance.

 

 The first morning show of the school year on September 11 was about this past summer’s Model World Health Organization trip to Kenya. 15 students went with 6 adults including Hopewell science teachers Mr. Angwenyi and Dr. Rankel. They visited orphanages, schools, tribes, and villages. They were able to donate 20 suitcases filled with different items. Slide show made by Komi Khan.
