Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Stakeholders,
During the 2011-12 school year, the New Jersey Department of Education developed the School Performance Reports to provided communities with information on school-wide academic achievements, demographics and school climate.
The School Performance Reports were developed with feedback from parents and educational professionals.
The New Jersey Department of Education is in the process of revising these reports and is seeking input on a statewide survey designed to improve the readability and usability of these reports.
Please access the brief on-line survey to describe if and how you use the reports, what data is most important to you when looking at school performance, and how the data can be presented in a useful and, understandable manner. The survey should take less than 10 minutes and responses will not be tracked or identified individually.
I invite you to review our School Performance Reports online to view the latest reports.
Thank you in advance for your help in improving the New Jersey School Performance Reports.
Thomas A. Smith, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
